Late September is a lovely time to visit Whiteman Park, and it just so happened that it was ECHO client Parvin’s birthday. So, on our group outing to the park, Parvin’s friend Coral made sure to bring some extra treats to share in the cheerful sunshine. Pictured with the birthday cake are (L-R) Margaret, Bernie, Parvin and Coral. A visit to Whiteman Park isn’t complete without a train ride, so everyone enjoyed a leisurely rattle along the tracks before having a nice lunch surrounded by towering gum trees. Aside from the many in-home services we provide to support older people living at home, these regular group get-togethers are among the most valuable and fulfilling things we do – keeping people active and connected.
