Personal Care

ECHO Community Services provides support for daily self care tasks. We aimĀ  to provide quality assistance with personal care through our trained and experienced support workers. Our goal is to enable the client to actively participate in their care to the best of their ability, whilst maintaining their independence and dignity.

A care plan will be developed in consultation with the client, clinician and or carer, and a personal care component could include such things as:

  • shower assistance,
  • dressing,
  • medication monitoring,
  • blood sugar monitoring,
  • eye drops, nasal drops and respiratory inhalers
  • transdermal patches
  • support stockings.

All of our support workers are trained to level Certificate 3 Aged Care or higher and receive ongoing training to enhance their skills and ensure competency.

Eligibility for Home and Community Care Services in WA is determined by the Regional Assessment Service (RAS). Home Care Package Holders can opt for this service as part of the package. Please see “Navigating the Home Care Maze” for further information.
