Op Shops and Sushi

Myaree was the destination for this delicious day out for ECHO clients. Our volunteer bus driver Max first brought this small party of clients to explore the local op shops and see what treasures they could find. It was a lot of fun, with quite a bit of nostalgia involved. Once everyone was done with their retail therapy, it was time for lunch, and a sumptuous sushi meal was tucked into amidst some lively conversation. You can see Clients Myrna and Teresa solving the world’s problems here over sushi rolls. [Pictured in the group shot (L–R) are Teresa, Myrna, Margaret, Mercia, volunteer driver Max, and Angelina.] If you’d like to volunteer to enrich the lives of older people, we’re always looking for additional bus drivers and bus assistants. You only need a car licence to drive our 12-seat buses, so get in touch with our Volunteer Coordinator at Volunteer.coordinator@echocommunity.org.au
