Please consider leaving a bequest to ECHO in your will. Through your generosity we will be able to continue our work to provide support and care to those who need it most.
Getting started
Before deciding on the type of bequest you would like to leave ECHO, we recommend you discuss your wishes with your family and also consult a legal professional when creating or updating your will. We would also appreciate you letting us know if you want to include us in your will. This way we can thank you personally and keep you updated on the work we are doing.
Making a Will
If you need to make a will it is best to consult a solicitor who is experienced in wills and estates. There will be a cost to do this however, we recommend you get an estimate of fees up front.
However, if you wish to create a will yourself, we recommend you see professional advice to ensure your will is valid.
What type of Gift can you leave?
- Residual gift: Your debts are paid and provisions are made for loved ones named in your will, you can choose to leave the remainder (or a proportion of the remainder) of your estate to ECHO.
- Whole or part of your estate: You can leave your entire estate or any part of your estate to ECHO.
- Fixed specific gift: A gift in the form of other property such as shares or investments.
- Fixed sum of money gift: This gift is in the form of a specified cash amount. As it may be many years before your gift will be realised, you may wish to nominate a small percentage of your estate instead of a fixed cash sum.
Regardless of the type of gift you are considering leave to us we would be very grateful for your support.
